✅ Eligibility Criteria:

Age Limit:

  • The maximum age limit for Assistant Commissioner is 34 years.
  • The age limit for District Educational Officer is capped at 32 years for candidates entering through the open market, while for teachers, it extends up to 42 years.
  • Candidates from BC(OBCM)s, BCMs, MBCs/DCs, SCs, SC(A)s, STs, and Destitute Widows of all Communities have a maximum age limit of 39 years for Assistant Commissioner posts.
  • Age relaxation is not applicable for District Educational Officer posts.

Candidates are required to have adequate proficiency in Tamil as of the date of this Notification.

✔️ Assistant Commissioner:

Candidates are required to possess a degree along with either a Bachelor of Law (3-year course) or a Bachelor of Law (5-year Integrated course).

Option 1: (a) Candidates must have actively practiced as an Advocate or Pleader in a Court of Civil or Criminal Jurisdiction for at least three years. OR (b) Candidates should have accumulated a minimum of six years of service in roles including Executive Officer (Grade-I, II, III, or IV), Inspector, Head Clerk, Manager, or Superintendent within the Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department.

✔️ District Educational Officer:

(1) Candidates are required to possess either a Master’s degree or an equivalent qualification in any of the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Economics, Geography, History, Commerce, Tamil, or English.

(2) Candidates are required to have studied Tamil as either Part-I or Part-II of the Intermediate or Pre-University Course or Higher Secondary Course.

(3) Candidates should hold either a Bachelor of Teaching or a Bachelor of Education from any recognized university in the state, or an equivalent qualification.

✅ Application Fee:

(1) Registration Fee: Just ₹150. The one-time registration system is valid for 05 years.

(2) Preliminary Examination Fee: ₹150 for candidates in the General and OBC categories.

(3) Main Written Examination Fee: ₹200 only.

(4) There are no fees for SC/ST/MBC/BC/BC (Muslims)/Ex-servicemen/PwBD, and Destitute Widow candidates.

How to Apply for TNPSC CCSE 2024?

To apply for the TNPSC CCSE Exam 2024, eligible candidates are required to submit their applications online through the TNPSC Exams Portal (apply.tnpscexams.in).

Candidates are advised to begin by registering for “One Time Registration”. Once successfully completed, this registration remains valid for five years from the date of registration.

Candidates are reminded to have a scanned image of their photograph and the required certificates ready for submission.
